Treasurers Association of Virginia Conference

Treasurers Association of Virginia Conference

This was an awesome project. My MIL is the Treasurer for James City County. She put a good word in for me and I was hired to make 250+ gift boxes for their 2008 Conference! Waaaa Whooo!

The conference was held back in July or August last year in a county that was big for their Daffodil Festival so what better image then a Daffodil stamp. Took forever to color all those images in but worth every minute. I punched the corners of the Daffodil image and mounted each one on Always Artichoke cardstock. I think they turned out great! My MIL picked a quote from Thomas Jefferson, I printed it on white cardstock on the computer, then stamped the flourishes on the top and bottom corner of each quote. I mounted those on Always Artichoke cardstock as well. The tag was also printed on the computer. I cut each one out then used the SU Ticket Corner to punch the top two corners out to make the tag, mounted those on Always Artichoke cardstock. I then used a SU Wheel to stamp the "belly band" around each of the boxes. I tied ribbon to one side of the handles and sent them to my MIL to fill will goodies for the conference. I believe they put a T Shirt, Gift Certificates, a Water Bottle, Snacks etc. in each one and gave them out to everyone as they walked in the door.

Thank you to my favorite MIL for giving me such a wonderful opportunity to make the gift boxes for such a large event! I look forward to doing it again in the future ;)

Mickey & Minnie Happy Anniversary

What a Perfect Card for our 14 year Anniversary since we just came back from Disney! Wow...did I just say 14 years! Time flies when you are in love! ;)

I LOVE using the Cricut to cut these awesome Disney Characters. The kids LOVE using the Disney cartridges and want me to cut one of each! Yikes! The characters are very time consuming but worth it in the end. I cut Mickey & Minnie at 5 1/2". The heart, I think I used 6". I cut the black background then I cute two of the the dark pink to make the card so it would open. I cut the light pink for the top layer, then added Mickey & Minnie to the front :) I could have added more to the front but I ran out of time. Mike walked in the door as I was trying to finish it up so I got in a hurry.

Our Anniversary was actually in November but with my back surgery I couldn't get out and get what I wanted for him until this week. He's so patient! hee hee

Yo Yo Game

This is a Congratulations card I made for a great friend of mine who recently passed her Parelli Level 1 test. Parelli is a home study course for Natural Horsemanship. This stamp is perfect because one of the test you have to pass is the "Yo Yo Game". It's a game to teach your horse to back away from you and get out of your space :) She passed Level 1 back in October and I haven't had a chance take her card so here it is.....finally :)

Snow White

The Water Fairy

Tinker Bell

Rosetta, the Garden Fairy

Belle

Cinderella

Aurora

I have to post these pictures too! The girls where in aw while meeting there favorite Princess and Fairies! I was blown away myself by them. They were all so sweet to the girls and took all the time in the world with them. Asking them questions and just making conversation as if they were the only kids at Disney! It really was magical! I was so pleased, it really was worth the wait to meet them all.

Disney

Wondering where I've been???? DISNEY!!!!

We took the girls again this year the week after Christmas. I believe this will be the last year we go after Christmas. Way to many people. Our first day we went to Magic Kingdom. They closed that morning at 11:00 AM because they were filled to capacity! Yikes! That's like 70,000 people!

The girls meet Donald Duck, Goofy, Minnie Mouse and Mickey while at Animal Kingdom. They met most of the Princess and Fairies at Magic Kingdom. We could have gotten in line for Pinocchio, Buzz Lightyear, Stitch etc but they meet them all last year and we figured we didn't need all their autographs again this year.

I'll post picture of the girls with the Princesses later and I'll try and get back to some stamp'n soon. I've just been playing catch up since we got home.
